Hello Sol System
After fiddling with unity for the past several years, and never finishing anything of substance, this year, I finally decided to get serious and actually try to finish making a game.
Automation is facisnating to me. To be honest, like many others, it terrifies me. But I've always been kind of drawn to the things I fear... I think that's why automation, robotics, and AI are so endlessly interesting to me.
My concept for this game is to give the player control of swarms of autonomous drones in space battles between factions. The player would decide the type and positioning of the drones but the drones would mostly fight by themselves. Kind of like a hyper charged tower defense.
Originally this game was envisioned as a multiplayer project but I recently decided to make something a bit more bite size so I can really nail down the concept before delving deeper into the world of multiplayer games.
After about 40 days and nights of hyperfocus the game is currently playable, and has 30 levels with 3 bosses. It's still pretty early in development (there isnt even a victory notification yet lol) and it needs a bunch of optimization but I think it's pretty fun! I am excited to share with everyone!
